Giclée
The term giclée is derived from the French verb ‘gicler’ meaning to beam or atomise. A giclée is a newly developed printing technique used in the Netherlands using a sophisticated 12-colour printer that sprays pigment inks onto the canvas, layer by layer. The giclée is then coated with a transparent varnish. This large colour spectrum and high resolution makes it very close to the original.
