Amsterdam has had its own biscuit since 5th May 2018: the Eberhardje, which is served with coffee in the Rijksmuseum café. This biscuit is named after former mayor Eberhard van der Laan. To commemorate "Amsterdam 750 years," a special Rijksmuseum edition has been developed, featuring the figures from the Night Watch on the packaging. The Eberhardje symbolises the connection between the residents and visitors of Amsterdam and the love for our beautiful capital.
